The Growth Areas Authority (GAA) is an independent statutory body established by the Victorian Government to guide sustainable development of Melbourne's five growth areas: Casey-Cardinia, Hume, Melton-Caroline Springs, Whittlesea and Wyndham.

We work in partnership with local Councils, developers and the Victorian Government to create new communities in Melbourne's growth areas that are well planned, liveable, affordable, environmentally progressive and provided with essential services.

Senior Precinct Structure Planner - 12 Months Fixed Term

$63K - $88K depending on skills and experience.

  

Structure Planning Manager - 18 Months Fixed Term

$73K - $119K depending on skills and experience.

As a Structure Planner you will contribute to the planning and development of new communities, employment areas and activity centres. Additionally you will coordinate a whole of government approach to growth area planning, including transport, community services and open spaces. You will be responsible for consulting with a range of stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes around specific planning issues as well as the preparation of sound planning advice, analysis and assessment of planning proposals.

Senior Urban Planner

$80K - $104K depending on skills and experience.

As a Statutory Planner you will contribute to the planning and development of new communities, employment areas and activity centres.  Additionally you will coordinate a whole of government approach to growth area planning, including transport, community services and open spaces.  You will be responsible for consulting with a range of stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes around specific planning issues as well as the preparation of sound planning advice, analysis and assessment of planning proposals.

Position Description: Senior Urban Planner

 



CAD Operator - 12 Months Fixed Term

$57K - $71K depending on skills and experience.

The GAA is looking for a CAD ‘Guru'. As the lead CAD Operator, you will be responsible for adding value to the GAA's core strategic planning functions by assisting with growth area design, mapping, graphic design production and presentation needs. Suitable applicants with a background in architecture, landscape architecture, urban design or a related field, and with a strong interest in urban planning, are encouraged to apply.

Project Planner - Graduate Role - 2 Year Fixed Term

$51K - $63K depending on skills and experience.

As an enthusiastic and self-motivated Town Planner you will provide assistance and support the planning and development of new communities, employment areas and activity centres in Melbourne's growth areas.

You will work with Environmental and Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Planning Managers to coordinate a whole of government approach to growth area planning, including assessment of and reporting on biodiversity and/or Aboriginal cultural heritage values.
